The Park Salons' Therapists & Stylists

The Beauty Salon

I qualified as a level 3 Beauty Therapist in 2009, and have worked in The Park Salon for 5 years now. After gaining some experience in the industry, I wanted to expand my knowledge and techniques, so went on to complete a level 3 NVQ in both Spa Therapy and Stone Therapy. I have recently qualified as an assessor, which enables me to assess apprentices within the training salon. I love my job and take pride in what I do. I strive to provide a high quality service and achieve customer satisfaction in a professional and tranquil set up. I specialise in using Dermalogica face and body products as well as doing sets of individual eyelash extensions. I take pride in each set of lashes I complete - I love the end result and the confidence it gives clients.

I have always had a passion for beauty - ever since I can remember. I completed a level 2 and 3 NVQ in Beauty Therapy at Cambridge Regional College, and have been working in The Park Salon from completion of this 5 years ago. Within my time at The Park Salon I have completed a level 3 NVQ in both Spa Therapy and Stone Therapy. I always love learning about new treatments and techniques, as well as information and uses on lots of different products. I have been on many training courses - my recent ones being OPI Axxium Gel Nails, Universal Contour Wrap and Dermalogica Facial Training. I have also successfully qualified as a Beauty Therapy Assessor which has made me even more passionate about my job.

I have been working as a Beauty Therapist for 4 years now - this includes 1 years' work experience within The Park Salon as part of the Beauty Therapy course I completed. I have always had a love for beauty -whether it be painting my own nails or buying new products. On completion of my Beauty Therapy course, I attend various workshops and courses to further my education and keep the salon up to date within the industry. I have recently compleed courses for CACI Ultimate (a non-surgical facelift), and for Dermalogica (a new brand of products that we are using in the salon). The best and most rewarding part of my job is making clients feel good about themselves. Each day is different - I love meeting new people on a regular basis. Nothing beats coming to work and doing something that you enjoy and feel passionate about.

The Hair Salon

I started training at Cambridge Regional College in 2007. I studied NVQ level 1 and level 2 Hairdressing, and on completion of these, I progressed on to study level 3 in 2009, whilst working part time in The Park Salon, running my own column. Once I had completed my level 3 Hairdressing in 2011, I began working in The Park Salon as a full time Stylist. While working at The Park Salon, I studied an NVQ Barbering Qualification - this allowed me to enter ‘The National British Barbering Competition’ in which I finished in third place overall in the UK. Since then I have been building up my clientele and gaining more experience within the hair industry. During my time at The Park Salon, I have also trained in GHD, Wella (colour and products) and La-Brasiliana.

I began my studies at Cambridge Regional College in 2008 by completing an NVQ level 1 and level 2 in hairdressing. On completion of these, in 2010, I went on to study a level 3 NVQ in Hairdressing, whilst working part time in The Park Salon running my own column. Once I had completed the NVQ level 3, I started working in The Park Salon on a full time basis. Since working at the salon, I have been building up my clientele and gaining more experience with hair. I enjoy my job as I love being creative, achieving new styles, and seeing an end result that clients fall in love with. I especially like doing hair up-dos for a particular event such as a ball or wedding, because it allows me to be creative with a variety of styles that can be achieved. I am a very social person and enjoy getting to know my clients.

I am a fully experienced hair stylist, qualified to NVQ level 3. I have gained experience working in the industry with all types of gents and ladies hair (including Asian and Afro). Some of you may recognise me from previously working in the salon.

I am currently a Hairdressing Instructor here at Cambridge Regional College; having the opportunity to teach the subject I am so passionate about is really rewarding. I trained at Reeds Hair, Cambridge where I worked as a Stylist for a number of years and then moved to Scruffs, also in Cambridge, where I progressed to Senior Stylist. When I am not teaching I enjoy keeping up-to-date and maintaining my own hairdressing skills; so during half terms, Easter, summer and Christmas holidays I use that time as an opportunity to do just that and continue running my own column. So if you fancy a new look or just a tidy then please telephone, or book on line for an appointment with myself, I will be glad to be of service.  I look forward to seeing you soon!

It was truly gorgeous. From the moment I walked into the calm, beautifully decorated treatment room and settled down on the heated couch I was in heaven.
